Are positional bibs compulsory in Australian netball?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Players must wear a bib clearly displaying their playing position, and the position initials should be no less than 10cm high. We supply bibs with the correct lettering for your competition, in club colours matched to the playing kit, and spare sets can be ordered at the same time.

Can players choose between a dress, shorts or leggings?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Netball in Australia's uniform guidelines allow a dress, bodysuit, singlet, short or long-sleeve top, skirt, skort, shorts, leggings or long pants, provided the design and colour match across the team. We draw every option from the same artwork so a squad can mix garments and still read as one club.

Do netball uniforms need player numbers?

Accepted Answer

Not usually. Players are identified by positional bibs rather than squad numbers, so numbering is an option rather than a requirement in most netball competitions. Some representative programs do use numbers, and we lay them out at artwork stage if your association asks for them.

Question 4

Can we order leggings or long pants for players who need them?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Guidelines allow leggings, bike pants or tracksuit pants to be worn for medical reasons, cultural or religious beliefs, or in cold and wet conditions, generally in a block colour. We produce them in your club colours as part of the same order so they sit inside the uniform rather than looking like an add-on.

Will one netball design work across juniors and seniors?

Yes. Artwork is scaled so patterns and sponsor panels stay proportional from the smallest junior fit through to senior sizing. We recommend running a physical size set before the order is confirmed, which removes almost all sizing complaints, and mixed programs sit comfortably inside one club identity.

What does netball kit need that other sports do not?

Stretch through the shoulder and side body, and flat seams where players notice friction first. Netball is stop-start, vertical and shoulder-heavy, so a garment that restricts an overhead pass or chafes at the armpit is noticed in the first quarter. Flatlock and overlock construction is chosen per garment and seam position.

How long does production take?

Full custom kit is 2–6 weeks standard, and a 2-week express run is available at additional cost. Because our decoration is done in our own Australian facility rather than sent offshore, reorders, replacements and late sponsor additions turn around in 2–4 working days. Methods that depend on an overseas production run take longer in both production and delivery.

Yes. Fabric is difficult to judge from a screen, so recommended samples are available on request — contact us and we will arrange them.

Can you decorate locally for a quick turnaround?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We run our own print and embroidery facility in Australia — screen print, DTG, DTF, embroidery and small-format sublimation, with a 2–4 working day turnaround up to A3 size.

Can Divley hold our club's stock so members can order any time?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can hold your club's stock for an agreed period, so members order through your club shop whenever they need to rather than waiting for the next production run. Orders are dispatched from held stock, and artwork and specifications are retained so everything matches the kit your teams already have. We report stock levels so your committee knows when to top up.
